SATISFY’s Band On The Run Is Built for Autumn
SATISFY has released Band On The Run, the first drop from its new Fall Collection. Rather than treating autumn as a reason to simply add heavier layers, SATISFY has built the collection around pieces that can be added, removed and combined while running through changing conditions.
The collection sits somewhere between technical running gear and the kind of clothing you might actually want to keep wearing after the run. The AmbientWarp River Shirt is a good example: a western-flannel silhouette made from two-way stretch technical fabric, with an ice pocket at the back and stash pockets on the front. It costs €270.
For more traditional trail use, there is the Rippy Cordura 5" Trail Short, using abrasion-resistant Cordura ripstop, while the TechSilk Drift Cordura 9" Half Tights combine four-way stretch, light compression and silicone grip patches. The Justice Cordura 5L Hydration Vest brings eight pockets and storage for flasks and poles without moving too far away from SATISFY’s minimalist approach.
Then there are the pieces that make Band On The Run feel less like a conventional running collection. The AmbientWarp 5" Unlined Shorts use a black-and-white paint-plastered print inspired by carpenter jeans, while the MothTech T-Shirt gets a new eagle-and-snake graphic with chopped and fringed detailing. Even the FliteSilk 5-Panel Pinch Cap is designed to disappear into the rest of the kit rather than look like traditional race-day headwear.
The pricing remains very much SATISFY. The cap is €90, the MothTech Waffle Singlet €140, the AmbientWarp River Shirt €270 and the Rippy Modular Windbreaker €350. That windbreaker is one of the more interesting pieces technically: at 93 grams, it can be converted from a jacket into a vest with a single pull.
